Triad

TRIAD is a fundamental concept that appears in various esoteric and magical contexts, often symbolized by the number three. This triadic structure can represent a complete whole or a fundamental unit, denoted by a group of three elements or forces. In the creative triad, it includes God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, though it is important to note that this is not part of the standard pagan system. TRIAD also symbolizes the unity of theory, practice, and realization in the process of transformation.

According to some sources, the Triad is a perfect word, embodying unity, an intelligent principle, a speaking principle, and a principle spoken. As the first odd number, it symbolizes equilibrium, knowledge, music, geometry, astronomy, and prudence. In the Gnostic framework, the Triad is referred to as the creative principle as the ideal phallus and the created principle as the formal cteis, intersecting to form the Gnostic stauros. The concept of the triad is closely wedded with the understanding of the three worlds, with specific superior YANG figures corresponding to inferior YIN trigrams, creating a pantacle similar to the triangles of Solomon.

The Triad's significance extends into numerology and magical symbolism, where it is often used as a foundational concept. It is prominently featured in kabalistic and magical practices, embodied in symbols such as ABRACADABRA and the Pantacle. This comprehensive understanding of the Triad encompasses its spiritual, numerical, and magical dimensions, reflecting its importance in various esoteric traditions. The triad is a fundamental principle in magical doctrine, symbolizing realization and effect.

Duad→Concept

DUAD and TRIAD are significant entities within the context provided, symbolizing stages of knowledge and unity. The Duad is introduced as a symbol of ignorance, known for generating wisdom through the experience of separateness. This suggests that the Duad represents a foundational element that initially separates or divides, fostering a sense of individuality and thereby paving the way for the acquisition of wisdom. The Duad serves as a precursor to the Triad, acting as a bridge from a state of separation and ignorance to unity and understanding. The Triad, while not described in detail, is presented as the culmination of the Duadic process, indicating a shift from dualistic to unified states of awareness.
