Historical & Symbolic Context

The philosophy of this hermetic lineage revolves around the concept of the Will, which is depicted as the driving force behind human existence, creativity, and manifestation. Arthur Schopenhauer's philosophical framework, which emphasizes the Will as the tireless cause of manifestation, serves as a foundation for understanding the interconnected concepts. The Will is closely tied to the principles of Hermeticism, which provide a framework for comprehending the mysteries of the mind and the natural world.

Mental Gender, a fundamental concept in Hermetic teachings, represents the duality of the mind, encompassing the Male and Female Principles. This duality is essential for understanding the functioning of the mind, its creative powers, and its capacity for manifestation. The Male Principle, associated with the Will, is responsible for generating original thoughts and influencing others through Mental Influence, Suggestion, and Hypnotism. In contrast, the Female Principle, connected to Intelligence, receives and processes external influences, facilitating the development of ideas and thoughts.

The relationships between the entities and concepts reveal a network of influences and interactions. Ignatius and Pharisee Saul, for example, share a transformative narrative, highlighting the potential for spiritual rebirth and redemption. The exercises of St. Ignatius, when performed, lead to obtaining faith and achieving the Great Work, demonstrating the connection between spiritual practices and the attainment of higher states of consciousness.

The concept of Magical Work is closely tied to the strength of Belief and the power of Action. Magical practices, such as those involving Hermetic formulas, require a strong Will, pure Intent, and sustained Action to achieve a desired outcome. The use of Excitement, a substance that can induce heightened awareness and imagination, is carefully controlled in magical practices, affirming the role of balance and moderation.

The principles of Mental Gender, Personal Magnetism, and Strong Minds are interconnected, revealing the dynamics of influence and attraction between individuals. Magnetic persons, who possess the ability to impress their ideas upon others, demonstrate the principles of Mental Gender in action. Clairvoyants, who develop their spiritual vision through the strength of their Will, operate independently from external influences, showcasing the power of the Will in achieving higher states of consciousness.

The synthesis of these concepts and relationships reveals a profound understanding of the human mind and its potential for transformation. By recognizing the sympathy of the Will, Mental Gender, and the principles of Hermeticism, individuals can tap into the deeper forces that shape human experience, behavior, and perception. This understanding can lead to a more profound comprehension of the mysteries of the mind and the natural world, facilitating personal growth, transformation, and spiritual evolution.
