Good

Good is a central concept in Pythagorean philosophy and is signified by the forward orientation of a sphere containing the twenty-two basic letters, as detailed in Chapter 2. In this philosophy, Good is paramount and represents the ultimate state that both the universe and human nature should strive to achieve. It is a key component in explaining harmony and beauty and is inherently linked to supreme excellence, which supports its victory over evil. Good is positioned on the right side of the scheme of opposing principles, standing opposite to evil as a part of eternal distinctions.

Good is also crucial for growth in a future life, associated with beneficent Powers, and necessary for the development of positive and transformative forces. The Rosicrucians, in particular, seek to cultivate and develop these forces within the realm of evil, recognizing them as essential for spiritual advancement. The state of True Good, as it is referred to, involves the mind recognizing its own immortality and understanding the nature of reality. This ultimate state is achieved by ceasing to love the body and its illusions, ultimately leading to a state of immortality. Thus, Good encompasses both philosophical and spiritual dimensions, striving for supreme excellence, harmony, and enlightenment.
